Calm as the Sea

A doctor of psychology who was on the verge of depression obtained an ancient book written in an unknown language in a dream by the lake. Six years later, he teamed up with Tongtong, an orphan with supernatural powers, Zuma, the guardian of Yi culture, Zhou Yan, a doctor of quantum physics, Lin Song, a cultural scholar, and Lao Qin, a folk explorer, to try to decipher these words. However, as the deciphering progressed, they discovered that these symbols did not record history, but described the quantum superposition state and the underlying structure of life itself. Writing was not invented by humans, but a suicide note written by life to itself before it was observed. When the truth approaches, everyone's cognition begins to collapse: the boundary between the observer and the observed disappears, and the researcher finds that he is the subject of research. The story starts from a personal psychological crisis, and through the intersection of symbol deciphering, quantum mechanics and ancient civilization, gradually pushes towards the cognitive collapse of "the observer is the observed".
