Star Paradise

There must have been a place like this in your life. It might be an abandoned playground, a street that was torn down, or a room you never returned to. You left a part of yourself there. Later, you grew up, moved away, and became a decent adult, but you always felt that there was an emptiness in your heart. You don't know the shape of the void, but you remember its weight. This story is about that void. Song Zhixia is seventeen years old. In the eyes of everyone, she is an "almost normal" girl - almost able to get into the top ten in the class, almost able to make friends, almost able to walk on the way home from school chatting and laughing like other girls. But she didn't. She chose to be the "queen" in an abandoned amusement park, ruling over the discarded things: dolls with missing arms, faded park tickets, and broken pipa strings. She thought that these things were forgotten, but at least she remembered them. Then, two intruders arrived. Bai He, a repeat student carrying a camera, said he wanted to make a documentary called "Stars". Lu Shen, a good student sent by her class teacher to persuade her to go back to class, thought he was completing a task. They broke into her kingdom and her life. That summer, they watched the most magnificent sunset together on a rusty Ferris wheel, argued about the most boring topics in the grass, and heard the loudest confession in each other's silence.
