Ink Falls into White

The court painter Mo Bai fell in love with the eldest princess Jiang Zhi. In order to avoid political marriage, they faked their death and eloped, and lived in seclusion in Jiangnan for ten years. After Jiang Zhi died of illness, Mo Bai spent the rest of his life painting portraits to express his longing for him, and finally followed him away on a snowy day. "When ink falls into white," it symbolizes the eternity of love. Even if life and death separate us, deep love is as indelible as ink.
