Project Sunken Box

In the city of Fucha, everything runs as it should: the law, hospitals, banks, transportation, and the news. Yet in the corners of these systems, some people are quietly disappearing. Their accounts continue to update, their bank cards still show transactions, and their social media histories carry on as if they were alive.

Shen Yan was just an inconspicuous figure in the shadows of Fucha’s nightlife.

One rainy night, he came across the unconscious Xu Nanzhi in the back alley of the Beluga Club. Behind her were severed surveillance feeds, an anonymous warning, a black business van that had arrived ahead of time, and a secret known as “Sunken Box.”

Shen Yan thought he had simply been chosen as the fall guy.

It wasn’t until he entered that nonexistent building that he realized the true order of Fucha was never written into law.

If he wanted to stay alive and understand what was happening, his only choice was to join Yuanzhou as a temporary field agent and work alongside former detective Lu Fengzhou to handle anomalies beyond the reach of ordinary procedures.

But the closer he came to the truth, the more he realized this wasn’t his first time here.

And this city had known him far longer than he remembered.
