Green Hills Remain

Ten years after the war broke out, veteran Li Shan retired to his hometown. The former village is in ruins, but the old locust tree at the entrance of the village stands tall. He reclaimed wasteland, planted trees, adopted war orphans, and rebuilt his home on the scorched earth. Ten years later, the barren hills are covered with green, and the laughter of children fills the mountains and fields. Foreign enemies invaded again, and Li Shan led his youth to guard the mountain pass: "The green mountains are there, and the backbone is unbroken." The smoke has cleared, the mountains are evergreen, and the guardian remains as before.
