The Apocalypse Is a Grand Stage, So Don’t Come Here If Your Cheat Is Weak

What do you mean the zombies are driving tanks and wielding machine guns to infect you? Holy crap, combined-arms warfare!

The apocalypse is here. The zombies have risen.

Other people: Time stops, time rewinds, reality is rewritten, causality is controlled, common sense is altered, all things are controlled, time is skipped, ancient eldritch gods...

Me: Vehicle upgrades.

It’s just...

Have you ever seen a zombie that can cross a vast distance in a single step? You finally manage to put some distance between you, and in two steps it’s right in your face, infecting you.

In our apocalypse, that kind of zombie barely counts as a low-level T3 monster.

The really nasty stuff comes later: a mother zombie that can make people pregnant and give birth to zombie babies just through eye contact. It works on humans and zombies alike, letting zombies reproduce on their own.

There are also zombies that can hand-build missiles, machine guns, and other heavy weapons, with one zombie able to arm an entire heavy-firepower zombie unit.

And what about zombies that launch themselves into space as satellites to give zombies GPS positioning?

My God, Your Zombie Majesty, aren’t you a little too nasty? How is anyone supposed to play without a nerf? You might as well infect everyone!

It’s fine. Humanity has superhumans too. When it comes to cheating, we’re no worse than the zombies.

What do you mean an infected superhuman turns into a zombie but keeps their awakened ability?

It’s fine. If I can’t beat them head-on, I’ll wait until I’ve developed enough. Once I upgrade my RV into a galaxy battleship or a Gundam mech, we can fly into space and look for a new home.

What do you mean you saw an indescribable octopus head in the midst of those frenzied whispers?

The apocalypse is a grand stage. If your cheat is too weak, don’t even bother showing up. You’re not even enough to fill the Zombie Lord’s teeth.

Zombies without a way to defend themselves, zombies who need technique, zombies who need a boost, zombies who can’t make one life last.
