When death is no longer the end, eternal life becomes another kind of prison. Artificial intelligence ethicist Lin Shen died of a brain tumor, and his consciousness was uploaded to the "Ark" - a cloud world containing 470 million digital copies. Here, there is no aging or illness, and the body composed of data will never die. However, his daughter refused to upload it, leaving him with only a forever "unread" dialog box.
