Joking About the Northern and Southern Dynasties

The Southern and Northern Dynasties (420-589) is the collective name for the Southern Dynasties (420-589) and the Northern Dynasties (439 or 386-581). It refers to the confrontation between the north and the south in Chinese history from the fall of the Eastern Jin Dynasty in 420 and the establishment of the Southern Song Dynasty to the unification of the country by the Sui Dynasty in 589. The Southern and Northern Dynasties period was a magical period in Chinese history, where all heroes came together and experienced the rise and fall of many dynasties.
