Our First Meeting Beneath the Falling Cherry Blossoms

When Yuan Luoying had just turned one, her parents abandoned her in the wilderness. Fan Shihua, a cultivator who had withdrawn from the world, found the smiling baby outside his home and took her in, unable to harden his heart against her. More astonishingly, he discovered a rare root sprout of a thousand-year-old Condensing Essence Vermilion Cherry growing beside the little girl. When she was three, Fan Shihua planted the legendary Condensing Essence Vermilion Cherry, said to take a century to sprout, in his courtyard. Within just a few months, a new leaf appeared beneath the tree. Realizing that the child had a profound connection to the immortal path, he began teaching her the arts of cultivation. When Luoying was sixteen, she rescued a seriously wounded young man while gathering herbs in the mountains. She and Fan Shihua treated his injuries, but when she returned from gathering herbs six days later, the young man had disappeared. When Luoying was nineteen, the Qingyang Sect reopened its recruitment for the first time in twenty years, and Fan Shihua sent her to take the entrance trials. After overcoming countless dangers, she became an inner disciple of the Qingyang Sect. During a mission, however, she accidentally entered a grove of cherry trees and was trapped by spirit vines. A cool male voice sounded behind her: “Who are you?” The speaker was Jinyu Heng, a powerful freelance expert and guest of the Hidden Pavilion, whom the Qingyang Sect had invited. At the time, undercurrents were already stirring throughout the world. To uncover the truth behind the looming crisis and save the people from peril, the two decided to travel to the capital together.
