Becoming Calamity

When someone claiming to have “superpowers” visits in the dead of night and invites you to escape a haunted apartment building, it sounds like the start of a novel where an ordinary protagonist’s worldview shatters before he embarks on a fantastical adventure. Unfortunately, the person who thinks so is the first victim in this story.

Dark humor, fantasy, and a protagonist who’s always terminally bored, and who may also have the worst-sounding name of all.
