Reborn: The Nine Sons Vie for the Throne

Reborn during the Kangxi era, should I sit back and watch, or jump straight into the action? (This is an alternate-history novel. The protagonist is a genius, so don't get hung up on how much a young kid can accomplish. There are no major ups and downs or tragedies, and the story includes some wuxia elements. Readers who insist on strict realism or can't stand the slightest flaw should stay away!)
