In the World of Cultivation, I Repay My Ancestor’s Karma

Countless years ago, an ancestor of the Lin family named Lin Mu traveled across the Shanhai Continent. He loved making grand vows and forging karmic ties.

His descendants inherited a tremendous “debt of karma.” No matter how gifted the later generations of the Lin family were, none could break through to the Nascent Soul stage and beyond.

Lin Xia, the last surviving member of the Lin family, saw no hope of reaching the Nascent Soul stage and returned to his hometown to retire and enjoy his remaining years.

There, he unexpectedly discovered a travelogue left behind by that ancestor and immediately understood the origin of the curse on the Lin family's bloodline.

It seemed that the karma from ages past had fallen upon the Lin descendants, much like a father's debts being passed on to his son.

Lin Xia was speechless.

“Old Ancestor, I can understand that you enjoyed your travels, but did you really have to swear an oath to the Heavenly Dao?”

And so began a journey retracing the old route and repaying the karma owed by the Old Ancestor.

Who says the world of immortal cultivation is all fighting and killing? This is a different kind of cultivation world, a different Shanhai Continent.

This book is also known as “Old Ancestor, Did You Really Have to Swear That Oath to the Heavenly Dao?” and “The Shanhai Continent.”
