Archives of Strange Tales and Uncanny Rules

Generally speaking, this book was quite attractive at the beginning, but recently I have lost the desire to continue reading, mainly because of the plot progression and the description of the protagonist. 1. The protagonist is not aware enough: After he decides to stay and find his grandmother's soul, this kind of behavior is, to put it bluntly, gambling on his life. This will inevitably be accompanied by changes in thinking and behavior, from following the rules to get through the study tour; to exploring the rules, breaking the rules, and finding the secrets of the rules. I didn't see any changes in the book, the main character was still adrift. Even if you haven't taken any actual actions yet, you can still write down your ideas for strengthening the collection of information. Although the time in the book is relatively tight, covering one night and a period of time in the morning, shouldn't you ask Professor He to inquire after the strange phenomenon in Bailong Lake? He must know some information about Bailong Lake, and you are not completely without leverage. The various "phantoms" you see mean that you are not ordinary, and may be the kind of person Professor He is looking for. Even if you give some vague information, he will at least give you some information, which is better than knowing nothing. It doesn't mean that we can't contact you. The mobile phone signal is still there and you can still contact us. 2. The problem of psychological description (thinking) The rules of the strange story are that you should think more, but thinking in the book is just thinking. When thinking, it is best to deduce some things from the previous details in the book that are not explicitly stated and the readers do not know, or leave suspense and make guesses, or there are not enough clues to make effective deductions, and then collect clues. I felt that the protagonist's thinking was just ineffective thinking and did not give me any positive feedback. After watching too much, I felt that I had no desire to watch. 3. Tang Mubai's Character It's okay to be carefree, it's okay to like to be in the limelight, and it's okay to get motivated by sex. But when you know there is a problem here, you shouldn't drag your friends to join the team of unknown people. It's your business to join. Who knows what will happen if you are targeted by the dragon servant and go up the mountain. There is a high probability that your life will be in danger. If you take advantage of the situation, you will take your life? It's not in line with normal people's thinking. It is better to write about discovering one's own problems or helping the protagonist decide to go up the mountain. There is also hallucination... No, buddy, horror novels say that this is hallucination, usually characters who die early, and they are still hallucinating even though strange events happened here. As the protagonist's best friend, Tang will never die. The more he makes such inconsequential remarks and actions and is still alive in the end, the more disgusted I feel with this character. 4. Protagonist's Behavior Insufficient initiative (basically no proactive behavior), and behavior does not match the goal. The goal is to retrieve grandma's soul→ The soul is related to Jingding Temple→ Jingding Temple and Bailong Mountain are inextricably linked,→ There are strange rules (phenomenon) in Bailong Mountain→ It is known that Bailong Mountain has secrets. Exploring the rules and secrets will help to find out the cause of the lost soul and retrieve the soul→ Imagination Methods to understand relevant information→ Who knows the information best (Professor He, Old Man He, the official, Jiding Temple)→ Find a way to obtain information from Professor He and Old Man He The following officials include Professor He, Old Man He and official personnel Official purpose: to find out the secret of Bailong Mountain and eliminate the danger. Newspaper office? Purpose: The other party told me that it was to find the Dragon Warrior and make big news. I don't know if it actually had other purposes. He also knew about Bailong Mountain. Is there any official concealment: Is it a newspaper? Whether there is any concealment: unknown The action plan derived from the above is as follows (which one do you think is more reasonable to achieve the goal): 1. The large army: playing both sides between the official and the newspaper, and obtaining information from each other 2. The newspaper team: playing both sides between the official and the newspaper, and interacting with each other. Obtaining information 3. Large team: explore with the official and inform the official newspaper about the behavior 4. Newspaper team: explore with the newspaper 5. Explore alone 6. Explore with a team of classmates This is just my personal inference based on the current information

I read the guide, why did you just become a eunuch 🙂

How should I put it? I don't think there is a problem with the theme of rules and ghost stories. There are still readers who like this direction. I used to read mainly horror novels. No one writes horror novels well now. Author, if you delve into this direction, you can attract the audience of horror novels. But your rhythm is not very good. The first book has a good pace. It quickly enters a weird atmosphere at the beginning, such as the security guard, and cuts to the topic immediately, and the reader is immediately "scared". The pace of this book is too slow, just like a spring outing. You have to prepare for this and that. It takes too long to get to the main topic, so readers will not be anxious to read it because there is a lack of tension and anticipation. Have you read the Infinite Flow novel? The protagonist is parachuted directly into the mission, with almost no foreshadowing required, and everything is explored and unfolded in horror. You can read some excellent horror novels to find the rhythm, such as Nightmare Attack, Hell Apartment and so on. There is also a small problem with your writing style. The supporting character talks too much. Your ability to create supporting roles or characters is actually average, and it is difficult to write the charm or highlights of the characters. Many of Mugenliu's supporting characters are known to each other during the plot, and few are bound to each other from the very beginning. Qidian Orphanage is no joke (dog head). There is a reason why cold-blooded and highly intelligent protagonists are popular nowadays. To sum up, your advantage is the structure of the rules, such as the various playing rules in the previous book, Tomato Chef, etc. Can leave a deep enough impression on readers. But your weakness is characterization. Use your strengths and avoid your weaknesses, and I think you'll become popular. There are not many good horror writers out there, but you have the potential. The focus of horror books is on being unknowable, weird, and sinister. The scarier and more invincible the better, the more frightening the more attractive it is. Your last book showed this feature in many places, and this is the advantage of this type of book in attracting readers. But this book has hardly shown these contents so far, whether it is rhythm or word count, readers have not seen it yet. I think this may be a reason for the poor performance. In short, the next book will use its strengths and avoid its weaknesses, and I hope to see you continue writing on this subject.

First of all, Li and Tang took the script of the protagonist group, but they told the lines of the supporting cast and acted out the plot of the supporting cast. I thought this was extremely poisonous. As you all know, I think that in the Suspense and Supernatural category of Qidian, the common sense is that NPCs who don't believe in evil will always die quickly. It can be said that when encountering a supernatural event, you still don't believe in evil, you think it's just an illusion, and you take the initiative to push forward. This is the typical words and behavior of a sidekick NPC. This is exactly the case for the protagonist group here. For grandma, for Tang, and for having signed an agreement, these reasons are not enough to support the protagonist's behavior. It can be said that for this point, we can refer to the vast majority of online protagonists who are passively involved in supernatural events and have to participate in dungeons to escape. Otherwise, they will face a situation where they are haunted by the supernatural and continue to worsen, or even directly hunted down. The reason why I write this is because the protagonist with a high IQ will not easily take risks alone and enter the game easily, so he almost always has to enter the game because he knows the setting that equals entry into the game. Secondly, there are so many female characters that I really have to complain about this. Yin, Su, He, Lin, Zhang. I'm not saying that these are all members of the protagonist group. Of course, there may be supporting characters and NPCs, but my first impression is that something is wrong. The first copy involves so many women. You, the author, can't control it. There are so many characters on the stage, but very few advance the plot. Furthermore, the development of the plot is too slow. If you want to tell it eloquently, don't encounter an accident at the beginning. It is also feasible to write about interesting points in daily life, but you can't have the plot continue step by step after encountering an accident. Everyone should act like a normal person and still write it as a daily novel. To put it simply, the dungeon and the real plot are mixed together, which makes it seem nondescript. Besides, for Xiao Deng, it may be the end of being happy without thinking, and I'm afraid he doesn't have much patience. For Lao Deng, he may have the patience to wait for the plot to unfold, but the logical requirements for the plot and the character's behavior may not be low. For me, the words and deeds of Li and Tang are not what a protagonist group in the suspense and supernatural category should look like. The charm of the characters is still lacking, so I have no expectations for the plot. Even if I have the patience to listen to the story, it will only be fattened and then slaughtered, and it is impossible to catch up. Finally, I can only say goodbye by fate.

I put some tomatoes here. If you like, you can eat them yourself

It's all back, the longest river!

The author breaks down the book and gives a summary and outline of the volume at the end. As a reader who has followed it all the way to this point, let me share my opinions and suggestions. Let me explain first, I only read the first thirty or forty chapters of the last book, and I left because I couldn't hold it any longer. I am very interested in the subject of Rules and Ghost Stories. I saw this book in the recommendation list and found that the beginning is really good. There are relatively few authors writing about this subject at Qidian, so I paid special attention to the author, and found that it was you, which suddenly brought back some memories. Readers like us who left your last book after reading it at the beginning will usually have two reactions when encountering this new book: one is to leave directly because the previous book was too impressive; the other is to try reading it and continue reading if it feels good. There are quite a few people here who will decide to wait until you finish writing a copy before reading it together to try out the quality. As the author himself said, this script is too long. I have written Chapter 44, counting from the four main locations, and now I have only written the second one, and the third one has just begun. As I read it, the protagonist didn't bring much excitement to me, or there was nothing obvious about it. The stall is too big, so a lot of space is devoted to introducing the rules and background, which can easily make people feel that it is watery. It is recommended that the first copy should not be too long, but should be as short and concise as possible. When recommendations are made, it is best for the plot to advance to a climax or near a small climax, so as to attract readers to follow and leave a good impression. The description of the protagonist did not give me a sense of resourcefulness. I just felt that he was at the level of a normal person, even a little dull. Why do you say that? On the way to Fulong Mountain, I heard the sound of chanting, saw the temple, and saw the White Dragon Stone Sculpture before entering the mountain. Both times, I was not alert enough. Although I asked the professor, he said that you don't need to pay attention until you have entered the mountain, but isn't this in itself extremely scary if you think about it carefully? This means that once you enter the mountain, you may hear something and something may happen. Later, when he had hallucinations, including hallucinations with Tang Mubai, he still thought it was a simple hallucination. In reality, if two people see similar abnormal phenomena at the same time, they will generally think that it cannot be a coincidence, and they will probably suspect that they have been poisoned. Not to mention the abnormal events that occurred later, and the scene after meeting the Dragon Attendant was regarded as an illusion. I don't think this is resourceful at all. This feeling needs to be reflected in the details. If the protagonist sees or hears things that others cannot see or hear in the normal world, he can treat it as an hallucination once, but he must be vigilant twice. What's more, the place the protagonist goes to is inherently suspenseful. If this happens once, you should be alert. After two times, you should pay attention to all suspicious signs. In terms of supporting roles, I don't think the character Tang Mubai was well written. It seems that he should be a supporting character throughout the entire book. Such a character cannot be just an ordinary person. He must have some outstanding points to be able to assume this position, and this character must not be toxic. After he fell into the White Dragon Pond, he promised the female character to go up the mountain on behalf of the protagonist. I don't think this plot makes sense no matter how much I think about it. Or maybe the author wants to show that he is contaminated, but why don't I feel this way? Because judging from the previous description, he has always had this careless and lustful character. According to my usual impression, I really think it is entirely possible for him to do such a thing. So how can we change this impression? If we add to the description of his behavior that he is usually careless about small things, but becomes calm and calm when big things happen, then by this part of the plot, I will obviously feel that something is wrong. Another point is that he is also the kind of person who many times treats hallucinations as just hallucinations, which is also a poisonous point. It stands to reason that people with this kind of behavior are not suitable to be a member of the protagonist's team, and are more suitable to be a sidekick who is about to end. The sense of role separation is too serious. That's probably it. I hope the author's next book will take off, and I'll see you soon.

1 Visitor Guidelines for Fulong Mountain Scenic Area Fulong Mountain Scenic Area is a national 4A-level scenic spot and a key folk culture protection zone. It consists of multiple parts, including the starry sky camp area at the foot of the mountain, the natural scenery area in the mountains, the Jingding Temple area on the top of the mountain, and the Bailong Lake area. The Bailong Lake area is the most famous attraction in this scenic area. It was originally a mountain lake with a long history. Its tributaries converged to form the White Dragon Pool in the Starry Sky Camp area. In order to maintain the management order of the scenic spot, protect the natural ecology, and ensure your personal safety when visiting, please be sure to abide by the following: 1. Please keep your scenic spot pass, which is your voucher to pass within the scenic spot and take transportation. If you lose it, please go to the visitor center to get a temporary voucher. 2. There has been a folk legend in the Fulong Mountain area since ancient times that "one Buddha can eliminate two evils". When you enter this scenic spot, please do not believe everything or be superstitious. Due to the influence of natural environment such as miasma, mountain light and shadow, some areas in the scenic area sometimes appear to have some seemingly counterintuitive phenomena. Please strengthen your understanding and view folk culture dialectically. 3. You can only carry out mountaineering activities between 6:00 and 18:00 every day, but this time period is only for reference and is not fixed. The specific situation should be determined by the light conditions. During the long days, you can start mountain climbing activities after the sun rises; During the long nights, you need to leave the mountain and return to the camp before the sun completely sets. If you really can't leave, you can find a way to stay overnight at Jingding Temple. 4. You can choose the following three ways to travel between the top and the bottom of the mountain: a. Cable car, fixed opening hours: 6:00~18:00 every day. The starting point of the cable car is located in Bailongtan in the Starry Sky Camp area, and the end point is in the Bailong Lake area. Bailong Lake is an alpine lake. The main body of the lake is located on the top of the mountain. Its branches are distributed in Fulong Mountain. Most of them meet at the bottom of the mountain and fall into the pool in the form of waterfalls, forming the spectacle of "White Dragon Entering the Pool" in Bailong Lake. (Note: Regarding the rules of specific areas such as Bailongtan and Jingding Temple, please refer to the notice boards of the corresponding areas for details.) b. Shuttle bus, fixed opening hours: 6:00~18:00 every day. The starting point of the shuttle bus is at Xingkong Camp Station, passing through Stone Carving Area Station, and finally arriving at the destination at Jingding Temple Station. Since there are informal members entering the scenic area, passengers on and off the shuttle must show their scenic area pass. You can only get on the bus at three fixed stops, but you can jump off the bus at any time. Under normal circumstances, we do not approve of any behavior that endangers your personal safety. c. Hiking trails. The detailed route map of the hiking trail is shown in the Fulong Mountain Scenic Area Guide Map attached to this guideline. The hiking precautions are as follows. 5. When hiking and mountaineering, you need to pay attention to the following matters: a. It is prohibited to climb alone. b. There are detailed road signs at each fork in the road. During the mountaineering process, you must strictly check the road signs and the map every time you arrive at the intersection. Once you find that the road signs are pointing abnormally, mark it on the map immediately. After that, you can choose to continue along the hiking trail or return the same way. If you change to a shuttle bus during the mountain climbing, you must go to the designated stop and wait. It is prohibited to stop the shuttle bus during the mountain climbing. c. Fulong Mountain is complex and there are many undeveloped areas. If you find wild roads or shortcuts that are not marked on the map during climbing, please do not explore them privately to avoid accidents. d. When selecting hiking trails, the scenic spot avoids most of the grave areas. Don't be surprised if you see some lonely graves during the climbing process. Try not to leave the hiking trail and go to the cemetery, whether you are active or passive. e. Due to the history and folk culture of the scenic spot, there are often some informal tourists in the scenic spot. Such tourists have the purpose of "exploring novelties", "exploring folk customs", "poaching rare things", etc. Their behavior may be a bit weird. If you see them in forest areas or wild roads outside of hiking trails, try not to have too many interactions, and it is best to ignore them directly. f. All the monks in the scenic area live in Jingding Temple on the top of the mountain. They will leave the temple at specific times, but they will never meet you on the hiking trails. If you encounter monks while climbing, please ignore them. Especially if you find them in areas off hiking trails. g. If you hear calls or chanting while climbing, please do not respond, let alone look for the source of the calls. 6. There are many viewing pavilions along the hiking trails for tourists to rest. Some viewing pavilions will have some stone steps that extend to the hiking trails. Please do not go down the stone steps out of curiosity. If a companion appears to walk down the stone steps, please call him back before he walks out of your sight. Never chase him away, especially when he is out of your sight. Some viewing pavilions will have corresponding rules. Please read them carefully before entering the rest, or choose not to enter the viewing pavilion. Note: If you find a snake near the viewing pavilion, even if there is only one, please leave the pavilion immediately. 7. There are a large number of stone carvings and cliff carvings in the scenic area. Due to geological disasters and other reasons, some of the stone carvings are incomplete. Don't be surprised to see broken stone carvings during the tour. If you experience dizziness or other discomfort while observing stone sculptures or carvings, please stop the current observation immediately and rest nearby with the support of your companions, or rest in a nearby viewing pavilion until the discomfort disappears. Note: Whenever you encounter such a situation, you need to mark the abnormal point on the map. 8. Due to factors such as folklore and natural landmarks and cultural landmarks within the scenic area, the metaphysical atmosphere in the scenic area is relatively strong, but there are no phenomena that violate common sense of physics, such as streams flowing backwards, figures erratic, etc. Once you find yourself in such a situation that goes against common sense and cognition, even if you feel nothing abnormal, please stop all current actions immediately and go down the mountain as soon as possible. When going up and down the mountain, pay attention to the number of people in your team: Once you find that there are more people in your team than before, please ignore these extra people and do not communicate too much with them; Once you find that the number of people has become smaller, please find a way to inform your companions; If you are the only one left, please pretend that there is a companion beside you and maintain normal communication with him. After this, please immediately determine your location through the Fulong Mountain Scenic Area Guide Map, find the nearest starting point and end point of the trail, or a transportation method that can quickly leave the scenic area, such as a shuttle bus station or a cable car station, and return to the Starry Sky Camp. If you do not meet any of the above conditions, but are relatively close to Jingding Temple, you can stay overnight in Jingding Temple. If you want to enter Jingding Temple, please abide by the "Jiding Temple Tourist Rules and Pilgrim Instructions". Note: Be careful of those who reappear after losing contact! 9. The terminal stop of the shuttle bus is Jidingsi Station. After getting off the bus, you can continue along the hiking trail until you reach Bailong Lake. Jiding Temple is a key cultural relic protection unit and a key folk custom protection area in J Province. It is not recommended to enter unless necessary. 10. In addition to the situations listed above, once you experience any of the following situations due to various uncontrollable factors, please evacuate the area in time accompanied by at least one companion: a. Strong hallucinations, including but not limited to seeing space distortion, civil displacement, and swarms of snakes. b. Strong auditory hallucinations, including but not limited to calls that intensify and persist for a long time, and continuous chanting of sutras heard far away from Jiding Temple. c. Smell some smells that are not expected in the mountains, including but not limited to the smell of decaying organisms, fishy stench, or smells that make you instinctively feel uncomfortable. Note: Pay special attention to a certain mysterious aroma that you are subconsciously attracted to. d. When you suddenly step on some soft, slippery, and sticky solid-liquid mixed substance. Note: Do not try to identify the characteristics of this type of substance. It is prohibited to trace the source of such substances! In addition to the various situations described above, if you experience dizziness, nausea, weight loss and other discomforts without warning, please also find a suitable way down the mountain according to your location, and seek medical personnel to check the situation in time after arriving at Starry Sky Camp. 11. If you violate the above code, or for some reason are unable to take specific actions in time according to the regulations stipulated in the code, please determine your current location according to the Fulong Mountain Scenic Area Guide Map, and then go to Jingding Temple as quickly as possible. You will know what to do. If you are unable to arrive at Jingding Temple in time or lose your location, please find the nearest viewing pavilion and follow the stone steps to leave the area where the hiking trail is. Keep going and you'll know what to do. As long as you abide by the above rules, you can have a pleasant time in Fulong Mountain Scenic Area.

Although horror movies often require Sabi to trigger, Tang Mubai and the protagonist will only make people feel that the protagonist is also Sabi.

Come on! Must support supernatural texts 😍
