The 40KIG laser gun is actually really tricky
The 30k laser gun is semi-automatic and more powerful than the 40k hell gun. However, at 40k, it can only kill unprotected humans, goblins, unprotected Eldar (headshots) and unprotected Tau. Against Orcs, the similarly protected human army, Tyranids' gunworms, and knife bugs, it takes more than ten or twenty hits to break through the defense and kill them. Against the Astartes, it would take a dozen people to fire hundreds of shots to break through the defense. Even the hell gun can only penetrate the weak points of the power armor with a few or ten shots. On the other hand, the Tau's pulse rifle (the basic equipment of the Fire Warrior) can easily break through all old model standard power armor except the shoulders and knees except for the Primaris Space Marines. Not to mention the individual electromagnetic rifle on the opposite side that can break through the armor of the Indomitable Terminator😂.
