Great Ming: I Helped Emperor Chengzu Cultivate Immortality and Drove Jiajing Mad

Good news: I’ve transmigrated into the body of the Great Ming Crown Prince. Bad news: I was switched at birth and spent twenty years as a Daoist priest on Mount Wudang. Even better news: I have extraordinary talent, succeeded in cultivating immortality, and even brought back the Yongle Emperor, Zhu Di. The worst news of all: Zhu Di is an outrageously hot-tempered old brother, even harder to control than my golden finger! I want to keep a low profile and build up my strength, but Zhu Di thinks Mount Wudang is too bland, insists on going down the mountain for barbecue, and nearly sets the whole mountain on fire. I want to take things slowly, but when Jiajing sends men to seize our cultivation techniques, Zhu Di slaps the Embroidered Uniform Guards flying and roars, “Which bastard dares steal the foundation of my Zhu family!” I want a peaceful transition, but when Zhu Di hears that Yan Song is running the court, he immediately steals a horse. “Zai Rui, don’t stop me. I’m going to the capital to purge the emperor’s evil advisers!” Everyone cries, “It’s over, it’s over! The Daoists of Mount Wudang have rebelled!” Me, on the verge of tears: “Great Ancestor, you’re my ancestor, not my father! Please stop causing trouble!” Zhu Di, raising an eyebrow: “The Jingnan Campaign was on a much bigger scale than this.” Seriously, how is anyone supposed to handle this?! Jiajing, you’re on your own. Your ancestor really is coming to cut you down with a blade!
