West of Tide Line

In the year when the winter floods arrived early, an old fog light keeper who had been self-exiled for many years due to dereliction of duty, a young net repairwoman who had been looking for her missing brother, and a blind former hydrographic surveyor traveled westward along the gradually abandoned winter coastline to restart a Cape Main Lighthouse that had been inactive for many years before the last major sea closure; what they wanted was not a miracle, but just a few fewer deaths on this coast this winter.
