Zhao Tiesheng could not figure out how he, an ordinary office worker in the 21st century, could travel to this ghost place called Daliang and become a "rebel" chased all over the mountain by officers and soldiers. He was wearing patches upon patches, holding a rusty red-tasseled gun in his hand, and was followed by about a hundred sallow-looking farmers. This is all his possessions. The officers and soldiers have foreign guns and cannons, iron birds that can fly in the sky, and iron chariots that can run on the ground. And for them, even having a full meal is a luxury. But Zhao Tiesheng discovered that although he didn't know how to fight, he knew how to keep these hundred or so people alive. He started as a soldier at the lowest level and learned real warfare in the mountains of corpses and seas of blood. In every battle, brothers fall and new brothers join. He recorded the names of each victim and paid homage to them with the blood of his enemies.
