Ember Soul Blade

A hundred years ago, the ultimate resentment, obsession and greed of mankind intertwined, giving birth to the evil Ember Soul. They lurk day and night, disguised as mortals, and feed on human souls, body temperature, and vitality. Ordinary swords cannot harm them at all. Those who are corrupted by their resentment are reduced to mindless slaves and minions of the Ember Soul, and the world has been plunged into endless panic ever since. The imperial court was unable to suppress it, and the warriors were helpless. Only a group of people bearing a blood feud resolutely stepped into the darkness. They are the soul guardians. A hundred years ago, Mamoru Sakuraba, a descendant of Onmyoji, founded the Soul Guarding Pavilion. He forged his own sword with soul steel and cultivated the power of soul breath derived from his own will. He divided it into seven major schools: fire, water, wind, thunder, rock, flower, and snow. He passed down the soul-slaying mission from generation to generation, taking it as his own duty to kill the ember souls and protect the world. Most of these teenagers have personally experienced the pain of their families being harmed by Ember Souls, and with the belief of revenge and protection, they embark on a journey of almost death. They faced the monstrous King Jin of the Twelve Earthly Branches, the unfathomable ancestor Jin who was hidden in the Guijin Abyss. They knew that the power of soul breath would overdraw their lives, and that they would eventually face the fate of being backlashed and reduced to slaves by being accompanied by resentment all year round, but they still had no hesitation. There is no eternal victory, no easy redemption, only generations of soul guardians, who go on and on, fight against the immortal evil spirits with their mortal bodies, and use the bonds of partners to dispel loneliness and despair. Killing the ember soul is also a way to transcend obsession; burning oneself is just to illuminate the world. This is a passionate tragedy about fateful struggle and bond redemption, and it is also a tragic song for mortals to protect the world.
