Quiet Sea Without Waves

In 2047, the "Tranquility Mission" coordinated by the Joint Deep Space Agency made the first manned landing on the back of the moon. Five astronauts from different technical backgrounds - engineer Chen Mo, commander Lin Yuan, medical officer Su Xiao, payload expert Max, and science officer Elena - discovered communication anomalies after establishing the base: there was a time deviation in the ground response, and the signal seemed to come from a parallel timeline. During their exploration, they discovered unmarked underground ruins and remnants of earlier "old guests". The relic is a "screening system" observation station established billions of years ago to test the evolutionary potential of civilization through environmental stress. The old customers are not enemies, but survivors who have passed through the screening—but the screening continues, across generations. As technical systems fail one after another, the team is forced to establish a temporary survival system in the ruins and face a choice: accept "transformation" and become part of the system, or remain human and suffer the punishment of loneliness. In the end, Chen Mo discovered the third path - to use the logical loopholes of the screening system itself to encode the knowledge in biological carriers and return it, leaving the choice to the next generation.
