I Never Wanted to Be a Beast Tamer

After transmigrating to Sangyun, where the era of universal Beast Taming has begun, the first thing he feels isn’t excitement or anticipation.

It’s deep frustration.

Come on, man! One second ago, I was in the Pokemon world, talking about friendship and bonds, and I’d just beaten the final boss. Then, before I could even catch my breath, I got sent to a place like this!?

Even the donkeys on the production line aren’t worked this hard!

...Wait a second. No, that can’t be right. Why did the System come along too!?

What do you mean I’ve arrived in a new region and am about to meet new Pokemon? Aren’t they supposed to be pets?

And what do you mean I’ve reunited with Steven, the Hoenn Champion? He’s just a rich second-generation classmate of mine!!

And what’s this about me becoming the world’s greatest Pokemon scholar?

Years later, at a gathering of the academic research division.

Standing before the assembled academic greats is

The destroyer of Team Rocket, the Emerald of the Hoenn Region, the Champion of the Sinnoh Region, the hero of “reality” in the Unova Region... Wait, no, I’ve got that all mixed up.

The youngest pet research Ph.D. in the history of the Beast Taming era, the greatest Beast Taming scholar, and the legendary master of evolution!

“At first, all I wanted was to be a simple scholar, make a little money, and live a comfortable life.”

“I never expected all this to happen.”
