A Guide to Raising Abandoned Pokemon

Brakano: “Pokemon need to form a deep bond with humans to Mega Evolve! There’s no doubt about it!”

So declared a professor at the forefront of Mega Evolution research.

At first, people regarded this as the truth, until they saw that every abandoned Pokemon at the Pokémon Day Care in Twinleaf Town could Mega Evolve with its caretaker, who was also the Gym Leader. They were stunned.

“What kind of ridiculous theory is that? Why can a Pokemon that was only dropped off yesterday Mega Evolve with the Gym Leader today?”

“I demand to see the cards! I demand to see the cards!”

“I’m reporting this to the central authorities! This is academic fraud!”

Brakano looked helpless. “It’s not as if he could have formed a deep bond with every Pokemon, right?”

Meanwhile, the person behind it all was standing on the Sinnoh League awards podium.

Reporter: “As the newly crowned Sinnoh Champion, is there anything you’d like to say to the viewers watching at home?”

Facing the reporter’s question on the podium, Wen Yun smiled calmly.

“Ahem. First, I’d like to thank the Purrloin abandoned by Inoue Ren on X month X day at XXX, the Gliscor abandoned by Matsushita Ye on X month X day at XXX, and the Budew abandoned by Yeno Arashi on X month X day at XXX. They’re all amazing!”

“I’m grateful to the three people mentioned above for what they did. Thanks to them, I was able to bond with such distinctive Pokemon and make it all the way here.”

The three people mentioned above panicked when they saw this.
