A Brief Discussion of the Wars in the Tang Dynasty

War broke out in the late Sui Dynasty. Li Yuan raised troops in Jinyang in 617. In the following year (618), he proclaimed himself emperor and founded the Tang Dynasty, with his capital in Chang'an. He was the emperor of the Tang Dynasty, and gradually pacified the separatist forces and laid the foundation of Li Tang Dynasty. At the beginning of the Tang Dynasty, the power struggle between the princes became prominent: Prince Li Jiancheng united with Qi King Li Yuanji, and formed an opposition with Qin King Li Shimin, who had great military achievements. The conflicts between the two sides continued to intensify in the court and military fields. In 626, Li Shimin launched a coup at Xuanwu Gate in Chang'an and killed Li Jiancheng and Li Yuanji, which was known as the "Xuanwu Gate Incident" in history. Afterwards, Li Yuan made him the crown prince, and he soon became a Zen king.
