Beneath the Star Bridge

In 2047, the most astonishing mega-project in human history, the Star Bridge, was completed from end to end.

This superconducting maglev tunnel cuts through the Himalayas, using the power of technology to pierce the Roof of the World and link the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau with the South Asian subcontinent. It has become a hub of civilization along the Belt and Road, while embodying humanity's ambition to push into the natural world.

Lin Shen, an engineer on the life-sensing system, detects a frequency in the cold streams of data that doesn't belong to any machine.

It is an ancient song buried beneath the permafrost and layers of rock, the spirit of the mountains that the Sherpa people have sung for centuries.

When a nation-defining engineering marvel meets a civilization thousands of years old, when a steel tunnel touches sacred ground, a clash between technology and humanity, conquest and protection, begins.

Beneath the Star Bridge lie the dangers of melting glaciers and geological upheaval, the machinations of international powers, and misunderstandings and conflicts between different civilizations.

Under pressure from the project and criticism from the public, Lin Shen insists on embedding this voice from the land into the Star Bridge's neural network.

He believes technology is not a blade for conquering nature, but an ear for understanding civilization.

The Star Bridge connects more than mountains, rivers, and nations. It connects the past and the future, technology and the human heart.

A bridge, a song, and a tale of civilization spanning mountains and seas.

When the song joins the data stream and faith shines into a city of steel, Lin Shen and the Star Bridge bear witness:

The most formidable engineering marvels of a great nation will, in the end, possess the gentlest warmth of civilization.
