Historians usually give a precise answer - 2078 AD. That year, scientists serving the Ultra-Long Baseline Multi-Interferometer Deep Space Observation System (ULB-MIDSOS) discovered a planet. The planet was later named HD22049c and more intimately known as NE-1. In private conversations among astronomers, it has a slightly joking nickname: "Neon Rod."
