Nine Mirrors Conceal the Edge

At the foot of Mount Tai lies the ancient town of Huaiyin, where the cycle turns every seventy years, and nine mirrors lock away the netherworld. Lin Shen bears the Huai Transformation Curse. Every night, he sees eerie shadows in the mirror, and the whole town calls him the spawn of a tree demon. Shen Qinghuan has returned from a hundred years ago, carrying half of a broken mirror and searching for a piece of lost history. The Zheng family has gone mad, brothers have turned against each other, shadows lurk in the puppet theater, and neighbors have become enemies. The whole town is as chaotic as a stagnant pool. No one knows that coughing up blood at dawn is no curse, that the madness etched in cursed patterns is no sin, that the brothers who turned against each other are not enemies, and that the shadow-puppet play performed for seventy years conceals a secret that could save the world. When the nine mirrors sound together and the souls return to their rightful places, the moment the fog lifts, all those once called “enemies” will be revealed as fellow travelers.
