Mountains and Seas Grind the Heart

Mount Tai is majestic and the Yellow Sea is tidal. The cultural context of Mount Laoshan and the legacy of Mount Tai span thousands of years, intertwining into a long song of persistence and progress.​ Lin Yanqiu, a young man majoring in cultural relics protection, stepped into the Queen Mother Pond of Mount Tai with the original intention of "letting historical heritage speak for itself". The mottled carvings on the ruined stele in the Ming Dynasty, Taoist Diao Yusong's half-life persistence in "building a temple before cultivating the heart", and General Feng Yuxiang's innocence in digging springs to benefit the people, allowed her to understand the deep meaning of "temples are prosperous with people, and temples are passed down by people" amidst the technical difficulties and financial difficulties of restoring the ruined stele. From adhering to the principle of rejecting commercial advertisements to innovating public participation in "claiming the broken monument", she used her professionalism and responsibility to return the broken "Reconstruction of the Queen Mother Palace Monument" to the stele gallery, and also revitalized the thousand-year-old context of the Queen Mother Pond in the contemporary era.​ Following Qiu Chuji's poetic legacy of "stop killing and loving the people" and Zheng Xuan's academic style of "managing the world for practical purposes", Lin Yanqiu set his sights on Mount Laoshan. The ancient cypresses of Taiqing Palace are vigorous, and the ruins of Kangcheng Academy bear the original intention of Quanzhen Taoists to help the world and the perseverance of Confucian classics masters in troubled times. She connects the mountains and seas of Taishan and Laoshan and creates a study route, allowing tourists to feel the warmth of traditional culture while touching inscriptions and experiencing rubbings. Faced with the temptation of commercial development, the problem of ecological protection, and the chaos of market competition, she always uses Qiu Yuanji's persistence in traveling to the west to encourage good deeds and Taoist Master Diao's tenacity in rebuilding ancient temples as spiritual coordinates to find a way out of the situation in the balance of "protection and revitalization."​
