She Tried to Run on Their Wedding Night, but the Prince Read Her Mind and Pulled Her Back to Bed

On the day she was sent to marry in someone else’s place, Shen Wan had already planned her escape.

After all, the man she was marrying was Prince Qin Xiao Li, who was blind, violent, and had supposedly caused the deaths of his two previous princess consorts.

She had no intention of becoming the third.

[Once I’ve saved enough money, I’ll take my younger brother and run! I’ll buy a big house in Jiangnan, then hire ten handsome young men!]

But no matter how carefully she planned, she overlooked one thing: Xiao Li could hear her thoughts.

From then on, nothing went according to plan.

When she tried to flee, she’d barely climbed onto the wall before he hauled her back.

When they agreed to sleep in separate rooms, her blanket hadn’t even warmed up before he bundled her up and pulled her into his arms.

When she tried to divorce him, the ink was barely dry before he tore the papers to shreds.

Shen Wan gritted her teeth and cursed him a hundred times in her heart.

Xiao Li only smiled. “Keep cursing, Princess. I’ll have to kiss you.”

Later, after Prince Qin recovered, the first thing he did was lock the gates of the prince’s residence.

“My dear, stop trying to run. I’m much more handsome than those ten pretty young men in Jiangnan.”
