Bronze Tears

In the late autumn of 1936, on a rainy night in the French Concession in Shanghai, Yan Shen, a wealthy businessman living in France, died in a secret chamber. He held a bronze fragment from the Warring States Period in his hand, and a picture of a Ming Dynasty lady on the wall strangely "shed tears".
