Lin Bei was "deleted" when he was sixteen years old. Not death. Death is the ending written in the text. But his chapter was torn out and his existence was completely erased - as it should be. He woke up in the cracks of the world. There was nothingness before the birth of words, no time, no rules, nothing alive. The only thing that accompanies him is an old pen left by his mother, with a childhood bite mark on the cap. He used this pen to write his name stroke by stroke for three years. When he crawled back to reality, he found that the world was still the same - people were rushing on the street, the Tiandu Library hung above the clouds, and the awakened people in the late-night cafe were still arguing about "the logic of this chapter is unreasonable." The only difference is that he can see what others can't see: translucent pages suspended above each person's head, with what they want to do next written on them. And his page was blank.
