Sunflowers at Summer's End

Some say unrequited love is a silent tsunami: you watch him from the shore for three years, the waves raging, while he remains completely unaware. Gu Sisi's youth was one long, silent tsunami. From the fleeting glimpse in a high school corridor to gazing at him from afar in their graduation photo, she hid every flutter of her heart in a corner no one knew about, like a sunflower forever turned toward the sun, quietly following the light called Shen Mingxiao. She thought graduating from high school would mark the end of her secret love. They would be like two lines that crossed and then drifted apart, each heading toward a different life. But fate insisted on giving her a tender illusion, letting her and him get into the same university. Back then, Gu Sisi didn't yet know that this long-awaited reunion was poison wrapped in honey, a final farewell after a brief embrace, and a love cut short by fate that she would spend her whole life unable to bring to completion.
