Taboo on Returning to the Building

I rented an old shabby little building that the locals call "no return building". The landlord was blind and gave me three dead rules: You are not allowed to count the steps, you are not allowed to look back, and you are not allowed to look at the window on the fourth floor. On a rainy night, I broke the precept. A pale hand stretched out at the foot of the steps, a suspended face was pasted outside the window, and there were things hidden in the closet that shouldn't exist.
