I Am a Skeleton Mage

They call me an undead, they call me a monster, they call me a nightmare crawling out of hell. All right. I was once an unknown white skeleton, summoned from the mass grave by the Necromancer. I should have been his dog, his knife, and the humblest dust under his feet, but I gradually woke up. What happened after that is written in the history books: how a skeleton broke free from the chains of its master, how it understood the true meaning of death in the ruins, how it crushed temples one after another, and made those high-ranking mages kneel under my bones. But those are the opinions of later generations. The truth is: I learned their spells and then surpassed their imagination. They summon death with their spells, and I - I am death. Now I stand on top of the tallest mage tower in the world, with everything that once wanted to destroy me crawling at my feet. The sun penetrates my finger bones and casts the shadow of the throne in the clouds. I can't remember much about what happened during my lifetime. But there is one thing I remember very clearly - It was the same sunshine the day they burned me to death.
