Songs and Scars in the Bungalow

In 1994, Li Chengcai was born in a bungalow in a middle school in a small southern town and was raised by his grandfather and grandmother, who were retired teachers. His grandfather named him "Chengcai" and hoped that he would become a pillar; his childhood included old songs on the radio, watermelons on the mat, and cartoons secretly watched, as well as endless homework, the fear of being bullied, and the low self-esteem of not being able to approach girls.
