Nanxunqiao: Giving Laba Porridge and Forming a Bond of Love

This novel is based on the real account book record of the one-armed beggar Chen Gener by the Nanxun Bridge in Bianjing in the fifth year of Zhenghe in the Northern Song Dynasty (1115) as the historical background, and uses the "Beggar's Account Book" bamboo tube unearthed at the Songcheng site in Kaifeng in 2006 as the narrative introduction. It tells the story of a soul contract that spans nine hundred years - a beggar who spent seventeen copper coins to buy rice and porridge in the cold winter of Bianjing, and an orphan who was rescued by him. They both died in love due to persecution by bullies, and made a vow to "continue their good relationship in the next life." Nine hundred years later, they met in Shenzhen: he was an unemployed migrant worker, and she was a successful entrepreneur.
