Iron-Blooded Years

In 1937, the Marco Polo Bridge Incident broke out, and Japanese imperialism fully invaded China. In Liuzi Town, the hinterland of the Yimeng Mountains, the three sons of the old patriarch Qin Houshan's family have embarked on completely different paths. The boss, Qin Zhenshan, graduated from the Kuomintang Central Military Academy. As a company commander of the National Revolutionary Army, he fought bloody battles with the Japanese invaders on the frontal battlefield. The second child, Qin Poshan, has practiced martial arts since he was a child and has a strong personality. He organized the "Liuzi Team", a civilian anti-Japanese armed force, dedicated to fighting guerrillas against the Japanese. The third child, Qin Runshan, is thoughtful and taciturn. He uses his identity as a teacher as a cover, but is actually an underground member of the Chinese Communist Party. The national crisis is at hand. Although the three brothers have different paths, they are all fighting the Japanese with their lives. At the same time, their childhood sweetheart Liu Yan, the daughter of the Liu family, was unwilling to just be a woman waiting for her man to come back. She cut off her pigtails and joined the army to become a field nurse, saving lives and healing the wounded in the hail of bullets. This is an epic spanning more than ten years of the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War. The three brothers went from fighting side by side against Japan to turning against each other due to different beliefs. In the baptism of blood and fire, some became heroes, some became martyrs, some suffered infamy, and some were reborn from the ashes. The smoke of gunpowder has cleared, but the mountains and rivers are still there. The blood of that generation dyed this land red and watered the dawn of New China.
