Remnants of a Broken Monument

During the Jingtai period of the Ming Dynasty, after the Tumubao Incident, undercurrents arose between the government and the public. A top assassin who wanted to retire from the world was forced to fall back into the abyss when his mentor was framed as a "regicide rebel" and his whole family was destroyed. He sneaked into the capital under a pseudonym and dealt with Jinyiwei, Dongchang, Oala Anzhuang and Qingliu, a civil servant. He gradually discovered that the death of his mentor actually involved a conspiracy that was deeper and older than the change of imperial power - a secret organization "Hetuge" that originated in the late Song Dynasty and aimed to control the fate of the world. Every path of revenge he pursues happens to be an exquisite move in the organization's vast chess game.
