The Universe of Chess: The Horse Hides, the Lake Sings

A thousand years ago, the ancestors of the Horse Chess players joined forces with the heroes of the Chess Realm. Using four Star Chess pieces, they sealed the Chess Demon, suppressed the dark aura of chaos, and protected the realm’s peace. A thousand years later, the Star River Chess players return, the forces of chaos rampage across the land, and the Star Chess pieces lie scattered. The Chess Realm once again faces a perilous crisis. In Hidden Chess Marsh, Ye Feihuang, a pure-blood Horse Chess player, awakens his ancestral legacy and breaks free of the ancestral injunction to “stay in seclusion and defend to the death.” With his Shadowstep Horse technique, he strides out of the marsh, using a Horse Chess jade pendant as his guide to begin his quest to find the chess pieces and protect the realm.
