On the Edge of Evil

A horrific case witnessed in childhood gave Wen Ran her distinctive, almost sinister nature. After she empathizes with a killer in another case, she is transferred to the squad led by Chi Xu, a hotheaded cop known as the Mad Dog. Chi Xu thinks Wen Ran’s strange talk is causing panic, while Wen Ran thinks his temper makes him useless. Their first meeting unfolds in the middle of a terrifying school case. Though they should be enemies, the two join forces to solve it, and an uncanny rapport begins to form. From then on, they become the perfect partners, solving bizarre cases and helping Wen Ran overcome the nightmare of her childhood. Without even realizing it, Chi Xu also pulls Wen Ran back from the brink of crime.
