A tragedy Wen Ran witnessed as a child gave her a uniquely twisted nature.
Then, after she empathized with a killer, she was transferred to the team led by Chi Xu, the mad dog.
Chi Xu thought Wen Ran's eerie mutterings would only spread panic.
Wen Ran thought Chi Xu's short temper made him useless.
A terrifying case at a school marked the beginning of their first meeting.
The two, who should have been enemies, joined forces to solve the case, and an uncanny rapport began to grow between them.
After that,
Chi Xu saw Wen Ran as a master of psychology, while Wen Ran saw Chi Xu as a loyal dog.
Chi Xu teased her, "I hear you love empathizing with people. Why not try empathizing with me?"
Wen Ran replied calmly, "You love me."
Chi Xu raised an eyebrow. "Leaving out the beginning and the end?"
Wen Ran answered with a faint smile, "That's the truth."
Their rapport made them the perfect partners. Together, they solved strange cases and broke the spell of Wen Ran's childhood nightmare.
Chi Xu also unknowingly pulled Wen Ran back from the brink of crime.
In the early stage, Chi Xu had an irritable and unacceptable character towards Wen Ran, so you need to read on slowly to appreciate the emotional line. The emotional lines and the cases are intertwined, and you can feel the breath of life as well as the tension of solving the case. The cases are closer to daily life, and one or two of them are really creepy with criminal psychological profiles. In fact, when I first started watching it, I kind of thought that Mo Xiuzhu liked Wen Ran, but then Wen Ran was completely enlightened after he ordered Mo Xiuzhu in the restaurant. "Like and love don't mean you have to ask for something." "You cannot use the banner of love and openly ask the other party to give you the response and answer you desire." I think this section is particularly good!! There is a difference between liking and loving, and sometimes what you think of as liking may just be appreciation. Main cp: Chi Xu vs Wen Ran Deputy CP: Mo Xiuzhu vs Yu Weixi (This is the second book I've read by the author and it's really great!!)
