Clear Judgment

[Alternate History + Imperial Examinations + Multiple Heroines] Since the Tang, a great era has dawned; Jin and Yan have carried on its mandate, renewing China's splendor. Nine palace gates tower into the heavens beneath the Milky Way; for thousands of miles, the mountains and rivers serve the Emperor of Yong. Once, the Tang court crumbled and the realm fell into chaos. The Jin dynasty came to an end, and the Yan throne was displaced in turn. Thus Great Yong received Heaven's mandate, established its imperial rule, and took all of the Central Plains. After transmigrating into Great Yong, Shu Zuofan, the only son of a commander-in-chief guarding the nine frontiers, finds his father gravely ill and forced to retire from the start, bedridden and helpless. His uncle in Jinling secretly schemes to swallow up the family's holdings in the north, built over two generations. Do they really think I'm a lamb waiting to be slaughtered? With Jinling as my chessboard, one move draws me into the game and stirs up the whole Jiangnan region. This is where my ascent to the heavens begins. Yet as the realm crumbles, enemies rise on every side, and the court and country rot, I shall become a wise emperor, ascend to the Heavenly Mandate Hall, and take the throne as the ruler of Great Ming. From then on, the mountains and rivers will encompass all of China, and the sun and moon will usher in a new age of unity.
