Salt Lake Corpse Collector: the American Killing Line

The protagonist Annan Squatch stood on the platform of the abandoned "Central City Station" in Salt Lake City. The rust of the rails under his feet spread like blood vessels. Both sides of the platform were filled with translucent outlines of corpses marked by the system and only he could see them. The cold wind passed through the broken windows, bringing with it the distant ringing of the Mormon temple bells and the coughing and wheezing of street drug addicts. His pocket watch ticked down the clock—72 hours. Every collection of corpses is an anatomy of the American dream.
