The Sound of Cantonese Tide Bamboo

In 1978, Chen Weiguo, an educated youth who returned to the city, mastered bamboo weaving skills. Despite the concerns of the times, he started out as a street vendor, moved to Zhuhai, opened a shop, and built a bamboo weaving processing factory. In the past fifteen years, riding on the wave of reform and opening up, from being a self-employed in an old alley in Guangzhou, he gradually turned local bamboo weaving into a brand that is sold overseas. He adheres to his craftsmanship and integrity, and leads fellow villagers from northern Guangdong to create a new life together. In the ups and downs of the times, he uses a pair of bamboo weaving hands to weave the struggles and hopes of ordinary people, and also reflects the changes of the times in Lingnan during the reform and opening up.
