Beyond the Lanes

Jiang Ming, an internationally acclaimed swimmer, and Susan, a sports journalist with a double life, meet through a misunderstanding and an underwater accident, becoming a pair of bickering sweethearts. The “Flying Fish,” Jiang Ming, has his sights set on becoming a world champion. He keeps his family background secret and focuses on training and competition, remaining aloof and low-key. The “Flying Bird,” Susan, pursues the truth and lives freely, yet is a “landlubber” who panics as soon as she gets in the water. As the tides of the times sweep them along, they chase their dreams together and grow ever closer. Through training, competition, and everyday life, they stand by each other, deepening their bond. As the World Championships draw near, the battles beyond the swimming lanes grow fiercer. The bird and the fish stay by each other’s side, and the “Jiang-Shan” couple support one another all the way to the top.
