The Wind in Altun

This article describes the life in a multi-ethnic village in Altun, eastern Xinjiang, and shows the conflict and integration between traditional handicrafts, cultural inheritance and modern economic development, as well as what the Han girl Ge Yunque saw and felt as an outsider on this land. Through Ge Yunque's perspective, we can get a glimpse of a Xinjiang village full of color and vitality, as well as the lives and dreams of the people there.
