Tales from a Trainee Police Officer

Zhu Meng graduated from the police academy determined to become a police officer serving the people. After being assigned to an internship at the West City Police Station, she witnessed the many kinds of people and cases a community officer encounters: elderly people scammed in all sorts of ways; women abused at home who dare not face the choices before them; teenagers bullied over online rumors; and bizarre cases such as people tricked into sham marriages and left with neither money nor property. During her internship, Zhu Meng became aware of her own shortcomings and learned to stay objective instead of letting her emotions take over. She also remembered anew what had inspired her to become a police officer: the officer who died saving her when she was young. Now that the past has come to light again, Zhu Meng hopes to uncover the truth and clear the name of the person who saved her life.
