The 1980s: After Four Years of Cold War, My Husband Brought Home His One True Love

After Wen Jiao married Chen Anzhou, she did just three things: drop out of school to care for her disabled mother-in-law, raise her younger sister, and wait for Chen Anzhou to graduate from college and come home. But four years later, what she got was Chen Anzhou returning with his first love and insisting on a divorce. Wen Jiao was heartbroken, but Chen Anzhou ignored her pain and doted on his first love instead. Wen Jiao came to her senses and let go. She picked up her textbooks again, went to college, opened a factory, and helped advance national defense… She changed her life and waited for the divorce. But why had the man who swore he would never fall for her stopped mentioning divorce? On his first love’s birthday, he took her to set off fireworks. When his first love fell ill, he cooked for her… Wen Jiao looked at the man acting so strangely. “Chen Anzhou, we should get divorced.”

“I’m busy with work today. I don’t have time.” For the ninety-ninth time, the man gave the same excuse.

“Weren’t you going to give your first love a proper title?” The man said softly, “Honey, the only one I’ll ever give that title to is you. You’re my first love!”

“But…” Wen Jiao took out the divorce papers. “Chen Anzhou, I’m the one who doesn’t want you anymore.”
