Get out of my prince consort's sight.” People say, “That illegitimate Gu girl is cunning and ambitious, with the face of a temptress. She'd make a terrible wife.” Prince Jing'an replies, “My princess is beautiful and kind. Having her is my good fortune.” Everyone says Prince Jing'an has fallen for the illegitimate girl's beauty, and even Gu Qingyuan believes it. Only Prince Jing'an knows that she thinks her charms won him over, when all along he had been willing, eager to love her...
