Why Pick on Her? She's Dangerously Unlucky

As He Yuan ascended to immortality, a bolt of lightning sent her into the body of a hopeless romantic. She’s a renowned actress, yet her husband cheats on her and even raises his mistress’s son. Her reputation is in tatters, and her own son has been cast aside to fend for himself. When her son is finally brought back into the family, they all join forces to bully him in favor of the fake heir. Furious, He Yuan scoops up the sniffling little boy. “Come on, Mom’s taking you on a variety show to make a comeback!” On the show, the mistress’s daughter is possessed by a ghost and performs death-defying acrobatics on the spot. He Yuan says, “You’re pretty brave, taking a dead person’s burial goods!” A group of rich heirs strip down and squat by the road, yelping like foxes. He Yuan says, “You had to go looking for trouble, meddle with someone’s tribulation, and get yourself punished by a fox spirit, didn’t you?” During a livestreamed variety show, they pass through a small, unassuming mountain village that turns out to be rolling in money. He Yuan says, “Money from illegal business and lives you’ve taken are debts you’ll have to pay back.” The next day, the village makes the headlines in the legal affairs section. The scumbag husband and mistress, who have tried everything to ruin He Yuan’s reputation, are devastated. How is she getting even more famous?
