Rules of the Strange: I Have a Safe House

The world is in chaos, and the supernatural is returning. Countless people die under the rules. A few scrape by with the underworld currency they’ve risked their lives to obtain. Only Jiang Nuo strides through it all with a safe house full of underworld currency. The rules say: [To enter Room 303, you must bring a companion.] Jiang Nuo casually pulls out underworld currency and scatters it to a little ghost. “Coming?” The little ghost immediately grins. “Sure thing, Papa Jiang.” The rules say: [A requester wants a pair of men’s slippers. Fulfill her wish at the cost of your life.] Jiang Nuo looks at the supplies at home. “Do you want this pair of white slippers or this pair with the floral print?” The female ghost silently surveys her spoils: eyeballs, arms, lower legs... and a pile of men’s slippers in every color. The rules say: [...] Jiang Nuo doesn’t care what they say. She happily stays home and eats hot pot.
