The Lady of the General’s Household

A brash, wealthy heroine versus a scheming, haughty hero: enemies turned lovers, with a marriage first and love later. In her previous life, Xu Xining was the richest young lady in all of Kyoto. Her fiancé swindled her out of every penny, then forced her to drink poison. She narrowly survived and thought she could finally make her mark on the battlefield, but her fiancé burned her entire army alive and stole her military achievements. Reborn, Xu Xining sees the scoundrel at her door demanding money and rolls up her sleeves. Spend my money? Dream on! She demands repayment in the street, forcing the scoundrel Fu Yun to pay what he owes. Then she turns the tables at a temple, making sure the whole world learns that the scoundrel's sister is pregnant before marriage. She is a formidable general of the Northwest Army, and she will never again be treated like a dog who knows nothing but how to please people. When the scoundrel is disgraced and left with nothing, he pleads, “Xining, I was wrong. You're the one I love most. Please give me another chance!” A certain sickly young man glares darkly. “Still have the strength to beg? Kill him!” After killing him, he promptly collapses against Xu Xining. “Wifey, didn't you say you'd take me along when you rebel? Sob, does my poor health put you off? Sob, do you despise me?” Xu Xining is exhausted. What is she supposed to do when her husband is both sickly and a scheming little green tea?
